Lisa McEuen is the Chief Executive Officer of Chartwells Higher Education, a division of Compass Group PLC, the 6th largest employer in the world. With revenues exceeding $1.4 billion, Chartwells operates in over 270 Higher Education Universities and Colleges across North America.
Driven by an innate passion for excellence, Lisa has spent over 30 years leveraging her collaborative leadership style, extensive operational experience, and strategic expertise to grow regions, divisions, and organizations. Raised by a Cordon Bleu Chef, her meticulous eye for detail was cultivated while working in the family food service business, which later informed her decision to focus her career in the hospitality industry.
Prior to her appointment, Lisa served as Executive Vice President for Chartwells, responsible for the management, growth, and leadership of over 115 high education campuses across 24 states. Reporting directly to the CEO, she was also responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans across the organization with the aim to optimize financial growth, improve operational performance, and ensure client and consumer satisfaction.
While leading the Strategic Marketing and Business Excellence division of Compass Group North America from 2008 – 2014, Lisa also served as an Officer of the company. In this role, she was responsible for leading a cross functional team to identify and implement operational best practice across all Compass Group sectors. In addition to her experience with Compass Group, Lisa spent 25 years in progressively senior operational and marketing roles with Bon Appétit Management Company and Gardner Merchant.
An active industry community member, Lisa serves on the National Restaurant Association Board and holds qualifications from San Diego State University and the Harvard School of Business.
